MINISTRY LEADERSHIP

My name is Wade Turberville and I have been the Youth Pastor here at Cherokee First Baptist Church since April 2018, however I have been a member at CFBC since 1989 where I have served in many roles including deacon, teacher, and worker.

I was ordained as a deacon in 2004 and as a minister in 2017. I have been married to my beautiful wife Christina for 24 years and have 3 children Travis (20), Zack (17), and Destiny (15). I also serve at the Transportation Director for Colbert County Schools. I have worked for Colbert County Schools for 25 years. My hobbies include camping, hunting, fishing, coaching my kids, and reading.

My favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10,

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.”

I cannot think of another verse that tells of who God is, His will, and what He can do for you as a believer, than His assurance of protection and strength.
