Thank you to our food and financial donors!
Since April 2011, Compassion Outreach has been providing the Cherokee Community and the surrounding areas with monthly food boxes, clothing, household supplies, school supplies, etc. We want to first and foremost thank GOD for his blessings on this ministry; secondly, we want to recognize Cherokee First Baptist Church members for their continued support; and lastly, we want to thank each and every individual, business, and organization that has supported this ministry. We would like to offer a special thanks to our community partners, Piggly Wiggly in Cherokee for allowing us to order food through them, Cherokee Lions Club for there monthly support, ESSITY for there support, and TEC for there recent support. Compassion Outreach strives to meet the needs of our community in order to express just how much GOD loves you.
If you as an individual or local business would like to show your support for the Cherokee Community by volunteering, donating or becoming a partner, please email the church, cherokeefirstbaptist@gmail.com or message us on Facebook at Compassion Outreach Ministry.
Below is a list of items that are needed to fill a box of food. We usually prepare between 50 to 75 boxes each month for the distribution. Items will vary depending on availability and cost. Anyone donating food items can drop them off in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 8am – 4pm. Please call ahead to the church office (256-359-4325) to let Shannon know you are coming. For those who would like to make a monetary donation, you can drop it off at the church as above or mail it to 305 College Street, Cherokee, AL 35616. Please mark your donation for Compassion Outreach Ministry. As always, the greatest need we have is for you to pray for the needs of those in our community. God bless you for your generosity!
